The Fellowship of Catholic Christian Women, founded by
Patricia A. Scileppi on January 29,
1996, exists to bring women together in the Spirit and to deepen
each woman's personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus.
Since then, FCCW has grown
and deepened the faith of women with studies of spirituality, Mother
Teresa, women of the Bible, angels, prayer, holiness, spiritual
gifts, peace and nonviolence, a study on the head and the heart, the
fruit of the spirit, grace, and in 2005-6, our 10th Anniversary
Year, Women of the New Testament.
In
2006-7
FCCW did a Bible study entitled Embracing the Kingdom and in
2007-8 we studied Sr.
Joyce Rupp's book
May I Have This Dance?
In January 2002, the Diocese of San Bernardino granted
recognition to the Fellowship of Catholic Christian Women. As
an outreach to the Diocese, FCCW has sponsored five Women's
Day events. New FCCW's have formed in the Diocese and
in Northern and Central California as a result of these events and
workshops.
In October 2006, the first Hispanic fellowship was started at St. Catherine
of Siena in Rialto by Maria Perales. This FCCM (Franternidad
Catolica Cristiana de Mujeres) meets regularly once a month on
Wednesdays. For further information please contact us at
